RecordsAbout the documentThe oldest description we have from Egge is from 1774, where Gerhard Sch?ng (one of the founders of "The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters") was paid by the king to travel around in central Norway to register sites of prehistoric and historic interest. His descriptions are available today, but unfortunately he did not map the sites - just sketched them. Some pages from his book. |
